Stephanie E. Dunkle-Blatter, M.D.

Dr. Dunkle-Blatter received her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in microbiology from the University of Georgia in 1991; took graduate education courses from East Carolina University; and earned her medical doctorate from University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2000. Prior to Southern Indiana Surgery, Dr. Dunkle-Blatter served as a general surgeon at Lexington Clinic in Lexington, Ky. She also completed a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., as well as her general surgery residency at University of Kentucky. She has her board certification in surgery from The American Board of Surgery and has several professional memberships, including Lexington Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Society, American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.
